5K races are the perfect entry point into running events, with a supportive atmosphere where walkers are welcome alongside serious runners. The energy of race day, from the nervous start line to crossing the finish, creates an addictive rush that keeps people coming back. Most cities host multiple 5Ks throughout the year, often supporting local charities.

People who tried this
โAt this point, I felt really good. It looked like I found my stride. I up'd my pace more. When I started the last kilometer, I went all out. I knew I had a lot of energy remaining and at that point of the race, I was confident that I was gonna finish. You can see in my intervals how much I up'd my pace at this point. I even surprised myself. The last couple of hundred meters of the race was on a running track. I never ran on one before. I guess it's softer compared to a normal road? I saw the finish line and got really excited. I think I had a bit more in me to push harder.โ
