βSo I opened up an EXE file with the EDIT command, only to be greeted with a bunch of gobbledygook [...] This didnβt deter me - instead, I made my own EXE file with a bunch of gobbledygook. When I ran the program, the computer reset. I thought I just wrote a program that resets the computer!β
βThe first experience where I actually did anything code-related was at this apartment I used to crash at in my early 20s. [...] I was like, βThatβs it? Thatβs all there is to it?β So I started building all kinds of stuff, never pushing anything to a domain at that time.β
βEverything changed when I left my job to work remotely as a freelancer. Iβd always struggled with staying motivated, and I feared that this would make it worse. But the opposite happened. With a less rigid distinction of work and free time, I became more productive than ever. I had an idea for a web app, and I was working on it day and night for weeks, just because it felt so rewarding to see it all come together.β
