Sleep in a transparent thermal glass igloo with unobstructed 360-degree views of the Arctic sky, where Northern Lights dance overhead on clear winter nights. Finnish Lapland offers the most established igloo hotels with heated glass structures that won't fog up. Book between September and March for aurora season, and choose moonless nights for the darkest skies.

While Dom grew up in cold Canada, we’d surprisingly never had a winter stay like this before – but it definitely won’t be our last. We were surprised by, and loved, how much there is to do, from enjoying the sauna to snowshoeing in -20C (without feeling cold!). We quickly realized that this stay is so much more than a night in an igloo – it’s a full experience!

We stayed at an Airbn in Tromsø and then ventured deeper into the arctic circle and slept in a 180° glass igloo in Lygen North. [...] I had seen them before a couple of times but north of the arctic circle they completely engulf you so it’s an even crazier experience.
