Swim with Stingrays
🔄 Repeatable👤 All ages
adventurenaturewater-sports
Glide through crystal-clear waters with graceful stingrays that feel like underwater flying carpets beneath your hands. These gentle giants are surprisingly social and often seek out human interaction. Stingray City in the Cayman Islands is the most famous spot, but many tropical destinations offer similar experiences where you can feed and swim with these amazing creatures.

“You can also feed the stingrays once you get here. We got to feed them squid and they’ve got flat teeth so you’re advised to tuck away your thumb, hold on to your calamari and let them suck it off you. FYI, they suck stronger than the latest hoover and so you’ve gotta let it go as soon as they get to you.”
“Hi! I’ve done a swim with stingrays through a different cruise line (Star Trek cruise ) but they’re probably all similar. It was great! A little scary because they took us pretty far off shore and the swells were pretty big so one minute you’re no where near touching the bottom, and the next minute you are, and you’re never quite sure if your feet are going to come down right on a stingray so it was a little nerve-wracking, at lease for me.”
