β€œI spent 23 days in Vietnam and I was there by job so had free weekends and free evenings, similar situation like yours. I was located in Hai Phong. This is my experience: People - they are very nice and friendly but their english is very bad and hard to understand (at least was in Hai Phong). I had troubles to arrange tour excursions. Also downside was prices on some places for tourists, they were higher. I strongly recommend Ninh Binh, that’s still one of my best experiences ever! Also Ha Long Bay is amazing but Ninh Binh left bigger impression on me.”

β€œBoth cities felt very safe, and we were walking around Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City well past midnight. Grab is available 24/7, so getting home was never an issue. Nightlife in both places continues late, as many people go out for food around 22-23, especially in Da Nang. I felt extremely safe everywhere in Vietnam”
