β€œWe couldn’t argue with the price. 7,000 won (roughly $7) each got us all the time we wanted in the baths, hot and cold rooms and a place to pass out, whether that was in the main area [...] or in the dark room, where hard pallets sat side-by-side-by-side for segregated men and women to sleep in hopefully more calmer conditions. Given last weekend’s high humidity, however, without direct cooling, these stagnant rooms resulted in stale sweat, forcing me out to the cubby and then, when I was sweating there as well, to the main area. I laid my mat and foam pillow down and attempted to fall asleep. The massive air con blew cool air in my direction, so temperature was no longer an issue. But, several chatty drunks continued being chatty [...] Somewhere between the God Girls and the rest, I fell into a fitful doze.”

β€œI did not do the common area thing, I went straight to the gender separated public bath part. First off when you get in, yes, you are seeing naked people. Naked males of all ages including children, old people, everybody, and its just one of those things that you got to get over quick. [...] Anyways there's the locker room area, you undress and then you walk freely in the buff to the various pools, showers, saunas, feet scrubbing stations and balconies that the jimjilbang has to offer. [...] So I sat in a few different pools. The hottest one I sat in was 111 degrees (I didn't sit long). I went out on the balcony to enjoy the view. [...] All in all I felt terrific after my jimjilbang. I had been slogging all day and after my jimjilbang I felt amazing afterwards. Once you get over the nakedness, it's not that weird or uncomfortable.”
