Harness the wind's power to achieve incredible speeds and aerial maneuvers that make kitesurfing one of the most exhilarating water sports. Advanced techniques like jumping, wave riding, and freestyle tricks require dedication and proper instruction, but the feeling of flying across the water powered by wind makes every challenging session worthwhile.

โEventually, I learned kitesurfing quite easily, yet with bruised knees and a blue shin. I remember the moment I was kitesurfing independently, looking around me, the silhouette of the mountains in the far back, the different shades of blue beneath me and the instructor who, from a distance, gave me a thumbs up. Right then, I felt intensely satisfied and proud, as a child that just learnt to ride a bike.โ
โAfter lessons I bought gear and continued by myself and it would take met the rest of the year to learn to surf upwind, transition and start jumping. Partly because I did my course at the start of summer and after that there was a heat wave, meaning no wind and I also stared out with a single 12m kite, so often the my gear or the wind weren't ideally matched. Kite-surfing isn't necessarily 'though', but that first year you can stop you're gym membership as you will be doing the walk of shame a lot (, walking back upwind with the kite) and getting dragged through the water after falling is also tiring especially if the water is a bit nippy. Once you start riding things get infinitely better, but you run into other things, like chop which are annoying to your knees and back.โ
