Finally we reach the main hall and sit down at the table, and then the champagne arrives. And here a pleasant surprise awaited me. The cynical person inside me, who like a good Israeli is just waiting to see how they will screw him, was waiting for some cheap and questionable sparkling wine. Instead we got Moët & Chandon which was simply excellent and easily put us in the right mood. Dos fois! While we were slightly perfumed, the lights went out and the show began. Dozens of male and female dancers appeared on stage and began to sing and dance almost non-stop for about two hours. The show consisted of a series of dances and songs, with each one of them presenting completely different scenery and clothes. Time passes and passes and you never get bored even once! When the dancers aren't dancing with each other, they're dancing with snakes. Yes, a dancer enters a tank full of water and snakes and swims with them in a kind of slightly erotic but very impressive dance. And when they're not dancing, the entertainers, clowns, and acrobats take to the stage, making sure that no part of the show is the same as the next.

After presenting our pair of tickets to the guard at the entrance, we were respectfully ushered into a kind of waiting room. There we were treated to a completely authentic British experience. This is no mistake – and I will explain it to you in a moment. The national sport in England is not football, as most of you probably think, but queuing. When a Brit sees two people standing behind each other, he immediately has a slightly masochistic urge to join them and create a beautiful line, which progresses at the pace of a slow march. And that's exactly what you'll get at the Moulin Rouge, where the line slowly winds its way between two halls, until you're admitted into the main hall. While the line is quite boring at first, in the third hall the view starts to get more interesting and includes the venue's restaurant, where you'll get to see those who booked a show and dinner finishing their dessert or drinking a digestif.
