โWith each passing week, I experienced small changes. I was sore, for one. The group fitness classes were HIIT (high intensity interval training) circuits, and they were challenging. I was used to a mainly sedentary lifestyle, so these new exercises made my muscles ache. But I felt stronger. And surprisingly, I discovered I didnโt dread working out. I didnโt even dread waking up at 5:10 a.m. Did I fall in love with burpees? No. But the classes were fun and challenging, and it was exciting to use my body to do things I didnโt know it could do (like seemingly endless planks).โ
โIn all seriousness this was one of the hardest health and fitness workouts Iโve come across to date; it not only challenged me physically, but also mentally. Everyday I had to make sure I made the best choices when it came to fuelling my body with food, and pushing it to its best potential with the prescribed workouts, to even showing it love by getting a massage and getting a good night rest for recovery.โ
โThere were a few days where I wanted to just lay in bed and say forget it, but honestly, it wasnโt that hard to do after the first 2 weeks. I actually began to crave working out, especially when I was able to get outside.โ
