Cruise down the world's most famous avenue where luxury boutiques, cafés, and theaters line the tree-lined street from Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde. The 1.2-mile stretch offers glimpses of Parisian elegance and history, especially beautiful during the Christmas illuminations. Stop at Ladurée for macarons or simply people-watch from a sidewalk café.

Arrived to Paris mid-day from Chablis in car rental. Drove around Paris for a couple hours and drove by the Effiel, Champs Elysees, Lourve, then to the Hotel Pont Royal. After driving around in traffic for a couple hours, with pedestrian, bicyclists, motorcycles, cars, busses, passing around you all the sametime I was exhausted and ready to turn the rental in.
