“The best moments weren’t even the big tourist attractions, but the simple things like sitting at a café watching people, wandering without a plan, or grabbing a croissant in the morning. There were a few moments of loneliness, especially in the evenings, but it felt more peaceful than sad, like I was learning to enjoy my own company. I also realized how much more you notice when you’re alone and how quickly your confidence grows when you rely only on yourself.”

“Other than that I just picked an arrondissement every day, walked around without much of a plan. I absolutely loved it. If I was nearby something that I had pinned on my map, I would do that if I felt like it. I didn't book any restaurants at all. I just went to places that looked cool and really took my time drinking coffee or wine while people watching.”
