Hong Kong dim sum is the gold standard for these delicate steamed dumplings and small plates, served from rolling carts in bustling tea houses. The variety is incredible - from har gow shrimp dumplings to char siu bao barbecue pork buns. Go early on weekends when locals crowd the traditional tea houses for the full authentic experience.

βThe first place we ever ate Hong Kong dim sum. And, the place we always try to hit during every visit. Lin Heung Tea House in Central is as traditional as it gets. Itβs loud. Itβs messy. Thereβs tea spilled all over the table. Tables are shared with strangers. Itβs loaded with retirees. Itβs necessary to elbow old ladies to get your dumplings. And, itβs all so very worth it. Every time we go to Lin Heung I think βI canβt believe how crazy it is here.β But, I love it.β
