βWent to my first yoga class today! I did a gentle yoga class at a local studio and it was amazing. Everything aches after (in a good way) and I was shaking the entire time, and I have never sweat so much in my life. But the instructor was great and the old ladies that were there were doing it perfect, so that gives me hope that I'll eventually be able to be as good as them :)β
βThe class really was more than I expected. It was challenging, yet somehow relaxing. It required strength and balance, but stretched my entire body. And believe you me, this runnerβs body was in need of some serious stretching! The only drawback is that I somehow tweaked my back so I had to skip this AMβs run. With a really long run (16-18 miles) planned for this weekend, I decided it would be best if I let it rest. Iβm sure that with time my back will get stronger and Iβll be more mindful of my poses, so I wonβt let this deter me.β
βyesterday I took my first yoga class after talking to a friend about it. Once I felt the flow (If thatβs the right word) I immediately saw the appeal. My body felt like it was communicating with my mind for the first time in who knows how long.β
