βTo be one of the lucky students to work with InDigital Media and Style.com by participating in Paris Fashion Week, was a really valuable experience for me. Just to get around the area, meet the βprestigiousβ fashion people, to go behind the scenes of the shows was eyeopening. What also amazed me about this experience was to see the differences between New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Unlike NYFW, Paris felt surprisingly a bit more casual with the actual entrances of the shows, but more serious with the preparations for the brands and companies. Even the people going to the shows have their distinctive differences.β
βMy day two in Paris was an awe inspiring melange of runway shows, divine architecture and theatrical aplomb. With the Champs ΓlysΓ©es serving as a Runway, you know this Paris Fashion Week is one for the books. [...] I had the privilege of watching the the first-ever fashion and beauty show on the Champs-ΓlysΓ©es against the gorgeous backdrop of the Arc de Triomphe with access to both backstage and front. The backstage experience was like watching a seamless performance. Artists were working their magic with such precision; the energy was palpible and gave me such a rush.β
βTo begin with the most important and close to home, Paris Fashion Week (PFW) was overwhelming in every sense of the word. Between the street style and the catwalks, I was in pure fashion bliss. What I loved most about the week was that being part of fashion week was inevitable. Everywhere you looked there were models smoking, important people dining and stressed workers running rampant. The stress you witnessed only brought you closer to the glamour. [...] Although I never saw anyone famous, the experience of walking down the Champs-ΓlysΓ©es and having some champagne was enough to make anyone feel like Brigitte Bardot or, sinful to say, a Kardashian.β
